Reports on IMC International Mathematics Contests

Sixteen students from our school went to Singapore to attend the second IMC International Mathematics Contests this year. In the contests, our students performed calmly and quick-wittedly, won good prizes. Among the students, six of them won gold prize, seven of them won silver and three won bronze. As the best performed team, our team won the excellent organizer prize which is granted by the IMC organizing committee.
During the contests, our students visited the River Valley High School, SingaporeISSInternationalSchool and beautiful scenic spots in Singapore as well as communicated with students from Singapore and Philippines. They not only experienced the culture and the advanced civilization in Singapore but also improved the friendship with students from other countries. When communicated, as little cultural emissaries, our students introduce China, Beijing and the advancing Chaoyang to foreign students.
In the contests, students was greatly helped and supported by the school organizing committee, school leaders and their parents therefore we’d like to give our appreciation to all of them. Thanks the committee provid such opportunity for students to communicated with foreigners, thanks the school leaders support to this activity, and thanks the teacher Luo Shihai and Ms Jia Wensheng take care of students in the contests. Without their concern, our students could not gain such good achievements.
After the robot program, this contest is another chance for our school to show our school and students to the world. In future development, we will try our best to provide students with a platform for them to learn from the outside world and communicate with whole world and make every efforts to set up an international school.

The Experimental School Attached to CapitalNormalUniversity
From August 14 to 19, Nineteen students from middle school and primary school in our school with three teachers, Zhao Rong, Wang Ying and Zheng Zhenxing, went to Singapore to attend the IMC International Mathematics Contests which was held by Beijing Organizing Committee for Hope Cup National Mathematics Contests, China, Education Services Office of Singapore Tourism Board and ISS International School, Singapore. Our students performed very well in the contest, among the students, in primary school level, one won silver prize, in middle school level one won gold prize, one won silver and eight won bronze, in high school level, one won silver prize, three won bronze. In addition, three teachers won excellent tutor prize while our school won excellent organizer prize. During the activity, teachers and students visited famous scenic spots in Singapore and primary schools, middle schools and colleges there. Communicated with local students, our students learned the Sino- western combined education in Singapore and meet students from all over the world who studied there.
Wuxing Lihui Education Centre
Kang Haimeng and Lv Haotian, students of our centre star teacher Li Hui, won the 2005 IMC International Mathematics Contests (Singapore) Middle School Level Gold prize in August, 2005.
